I had asked about them about a week ago and he said he just hadn't sent them out. So, I guess that might still be the case. I was worrying my two got lost in the mail because in a post he put up the day he received them he had said he'd try to have them all sent by Monday (which would have been December 30th), but I'm guessing he's still got them??

Yeah, I was wondering about that myself. He did cash the checks and posted a pic of when he received them from the manufacturer... I'm guessing that, like the rest of us, his life got a little busy.

Not complaining, just getting a little anxious to get mine!

Thanks Nasty!

I understand life gets hectic, but I was really looking forward to getting them, so I'm kinda let down...it's been a while now since he received them, and they are too cool, I'd just like to HAVE it so I can use it! I also sent a "little extra" like many of you did, but I guess he's just busy....

Maybe that was a pic of his last batch of bullets and he conned us all and is heading for Mexico! Get him!

   J/K!!

Actually, I was wondering the same thing; if mine was lost and everyone else started getting theirs. But at the same time, I know the first person to get theirs will post about it and thank Steve for his efforts.

Dona, I'm like you. I sent "extra" to Steve for his efforts too. I wonder if he's using the money to mod his Bullitt!  Again, J/K!!

Bob, have you heard from Steve in awhile? Is everything OK? I'd feel really bad if something happened and we're all concerned about our keychains..

Hopefully I am wrong in saying this but... $4 per person is nothing. However a couple hundred people sending one person $4 each adds up quickly. Maybe thats what he was thinking. We can all afford the $4-$8 loss if this was a scam which is kinda what i smell. But hopefully I am wrong.

Whens the last time he logged into this site anyway.

We can always report him to the postmaster. I'm no lawyer but isnt it mail-fraud to use the mail in this way? And isnt that a federal offense?

It was just a couple $$ each though. I'm not hurt and hopefully this isnt a scam cause I really want my keychain.

If we do get our keychains then I apologize if I offended anyone with my hypothetical musings. :-B

fulcrum1,

I hope you know that I was only kidding! Seriously, Steve is a stand-up guy. He actually had 100 (I think this # is correct) keychains made up for the first 100 members of the Bullittclub (who were Bullitt owners) and *gave* them to those individuals! That's a few hundred dollars out of *his* pocket.

I don't honestly believe that he would've scammed us. I think that he just got busy and stuffing and shipping 50+ (or however many keychains he ended up getting) envelopes is a lot of work.

Hopefully we'll hear something soon though.

Retro,

I understand you were kidding but I have heard of others who were stung by internet sales(eBay and others) that start out like this. I dont know him. For all I know he could be another troll of sorts feeding off of our love for our cars. I hope very much that I am wrong and this isnt a scam. Think about it though...If someone advertises an item that normally retails for say $20, and only wants $2 from the first 1000 people...He collects $2000 and never sends the items. No one is gonna scream about losing $2 though and thats their game. I'm not gonna scream about losing $4 but I will be more and more suspiscious each time. I honestly dont think it is a scam but I am suspiscious since no one seems to be able to contact him.

Although I would very much like to get my keychain, I am still going to sit patiently by as I am not the one who has to go through the hassle of purchasing, packaging and shipping all of these things.

I very much doubt that Blakwing is running a scam on us as he is one of the bullittclub founders. More than likely, he has encountered a personal conflict that has prevented him from completing this project. For all we know, he may be deployed in the Middle East right now hunting down OBL.

Whatever the cause for the delay, and let's all hope it is not serious, I am still confident that I will come home one day to find my keychain waiting for me.

Blakwing is by all means not a troll. Something came up on a personal level and will get them out as soon as he's able.

Enough said!

Thanks Nasty. I kind of figured that. But like I said before, I hope it's nothing bad because I would feel really bad joking around about the delays.

I just got the E-mail from Bob so I'll take a few out to respond. Here's the scoop true believers.. I've been stuck bouncing back and forth between Champaign and Springfield for the last 2 weeks for work. I'll be back home this coming Monday night. Almost all of the keychains are packaged and addressed they just need to be finished and sent. Rest assured that this is no scam. I only asked for $4 per person. My vendor raised rates on me this time around. The Keychains were $4 each to make. I'm paying for shipping to me and then to you as well as packing which is about $7 per box of 25. We ordered 94 keychains the math I'll leave to you. I'm not asking for money, I've got it covered.. I just want you to be assured that you're not being scammed.
Sorry if I'm a bit brusqe (sp?) but not only have I been away for almost 2 weeks with only a day or 2 at home but I'm having to surf and post over a PC Anywere link from my Laptop, with it's staggering 14.4 Cell modem, to my home PC. But hey! I can do this from McDonalds parking lot.
I'm sorry these are taking longer than expected to get out but please have a little more patience with me as these will get out to you.

Thanx,
Steve.

Hey Blakwing, eventhough I didn't post a reply here, I never thought for a second that this was a scam. Also, I would like to be the first after your reply to thank you for all of your hard work and dedication.

All,

I just wanted to let everyone know I sent a private apology to Blakwing for this whole mess I have caused. I meant no offense to anybody. I certainly do not want to jeopardize any future buy-ins. My attempt at sarcasm fell well short of the mark and seemed to snowball down the hill and right over and past the mark. If you want to kick me out I will completely understand. I definitely wont be back until the embarrasment wears off which could be a few years.

Sorry,
Scott
