Hmmm.. it has the proper engine.. just the wrong spec line on the ad.. but did you notice the lack of fins on the intake? ALso, you can catch a slight glimpse of the serial # sticker adn it looks like one of the White pre-production stickers.. Or this car is a complete fake.

I believe some of those photos used are media or publicity photos. That pic with the wrong intake looks like the pre-production car that was at the L.A.(?) show. One of the shows out west, anyway. Also, the interior shot with the gloves on the seat looks just like my non-Mach 460 Bullitt. Look up on the door next to the side view mirrors - no speakers. Those are definitely photos of two different cars. The other interior photo does have the Mach 460.

Dona, the first pic is of your Mach 460 AM/FM Stereo w/in-dash 6-CD changer. The bottom pic is from the 2001 Mustang brochure and shows the non-Mach 460 80 watt AM/FM Stereo/Cassette with single in-dash CD player, which I have in my Bullitt.

OK, so I'm guessing his does not have the 460 since his "actual" photo does not show it. I did e-mail and ask him and asked him what the build number is also. I posted this on another topic, but I got invited to call the "lister" of the auction at a 1-800 number tomorrow and he will "conference" me with Bob so I can ask him the questions directly. I doubt I'll win the car, but am thinking of making the call anyway, just to be able to talk with the famous Bob B!

So if I become famous who wants me to autograph their car for them? Or better yet, does becoming well known mean you can sell your car for more...even if it the car has no connection to your fame? Call me crabby..but come on, who cares who he is, that is just crap to see your car by using your name and then offer to autograph the car. Side note here, he must not be that famouse if none of my friends nor I knew who he was...

Taking it for what it is worth, the dealer I ordered my Bullitt from told me that Bob Bondurant bought the first Bullitt their dealership received, Earnhardt Ford.

It is just down the road form Boundurants outrageous driving school complex and Firebird Raceway, Chandler, AZ.

Mine was supposedly the second to arrive. I trust them, but you know how things can get exaggerated.

I am 26, so I know I have not been around long, but I have never heard of the gentlemen before this time. I am not proclaiming that he is not a super stud at in his own right. I am only mentioning that selling your car at auction using your own name and "willingness" to autograph the item seems a bit egocentric as well as uncouth. The point I was attempting to make was that it is uncalled for to bill the sale at famous person sells car, as he did in this case. The car is special enough to not need that kind of hook to sell it. I think I would rather have Art Hyde or the designers, or Chad McQueen autograph the inside of the door than this gentlemen. Atleast Art Hyde and crew had something to do with the creation and production of the car. This gentlemen does not have any direct links to the car other than he "bought" it or he was "given" it by a dealer or by ford as a sales pitch.
