...on the Mustang fuel case mentioned here a few weeks ago. I know how others feel about BON on this board, but personally, if there's a real safety issue here, I don't have an issue with them collecting peoples names info to get the manufacturer to resolve the issue...

We had discussed this very topic here some time ago. And what it comes down to is this.
When you compare the total number of Mustangs sold against the nubmer of accidents that fit their criteria the number is so small as to be insignifigant. Not only that but the impacts are of the most extreme nature and the Mustang hold up than a great number of other cars, but that info is not included in their data. Also.. the door jamming is not specific to the Mustang but to converitbles in general.
If you take an obkective look at the article, the data and the numbers and apply a good ol dose of common sense you'll see that this is nothing more than a fishing trip.

Lawsuits like these take several years to hash out and the only people who win out are the lawyers.

IMHO, if this was as big an issue as the Pinto or Chevy truck gas tank problem, the Feds would be all over it like a fly on a fresh turd.

I want nothing to do with it!
