JUST GOT MY BULLITT LAST WEDNESDAY. Traded in my 2001 gt for it, love the car. On the GT it got faster after it was broken in does the Bullitt feel faster after the break in.Also my car doesn't have the Mach 460 did most of the bullitts come with them.
You beat me by one day, I picked mine up on Thursday. I've only got 500 miles on it, so I can't answer the break-in question, but as far as the Mach 460, it was an option, so I didn't think all Bullitts would have it. Congrats, and welcome to the club.
I love the power already, that will be really fun later then. TrueBlue, did you have any trouble installing your MGW pieces? I just ordered the e-brake cover today, and plan on adding many more pieces.
Moljay, the MGW pieces are beautiful and well worth the price. Installation on all of the pieces is easy with the exception of the headlight switch. There is a trick to getting the stock one off. e-mail me when your ready to do the headlight switch and I will guide you through it.
Hmmm... interesting re: sluggish with miles. I can't tell. Sometimes I think I think I'm getting used to the speed, causing it to feel a little less fast. (My legs were shaking after I wound out 1-3 the first couple of times.) But I've never owned anything this fast.
Makes me wish I DID hit the track once every so often. Seems like the guys who do are getting faster not slower.
I hit the girl pretty hard on the back roads and she just seems sluggy. It has been chilly around here lately and the car runs like complete ass until it warms up. I didnt notice this ticking noise until it started getting cool either. It almost sounds like an exhaust leak or something in the dash, i just cant tell.
Thanks TruBlue, I will definitely email you when I get the headlight switch. I ordered the e-brake handle yesterday, my wife said I could get the pieces on the installment plan, so it will be a couple of weeks, lol.
Got 1400 miles on #5508 and it seems sluggish too. I thought it was because I was getting used to the power. I'll start listening for the ticking. On a side note, I ran it over the mountain at about 9000 feet and didn't even have to down shift on any of the grades! It still had the power!
