Switched off the traction control for some tire melting fun but...besides the obvious tire wear is the drivetrain subjected to excessive stress. My dealer leaned into the car just before I pulled off the lot and told me "no need to baby this car, drive it hard".So,is the occasional tire melting blast damaging the car.Your thoughts please.

Complex question CPB 4120. I almost feel lame commenting on this because people make careers out of machine design and failure analysis, and I ain't one of them. Machine components should be designed to withstand the maximum forces that will be applied to them and have a certain useful lifespan before failure. Because of safety and reliability concerns most parts are designed to be stronger than required. So the Bullitt should be designed to handle your smokin' burnouts (and I guess it is otherwise a lot of Bullittheads would be picking parts up from the street). That said, the less a component is stressed the greater the probability for long component life. Heck though, parts can be replaced. The probability is we are all going to die sometime, so enjoy the car as you see fit.
