Found this idea on another site for removing bugs from your vehicles. Bounce sheets, I wet the front end, rub with Bounce and hose off. Works great and is very, very easy to do. I did my ride, my wife's. No scratches I could see. I have used many products over the years, but nothing I have used can compare to Bounce

Sounds great!

We should have a scientific study to compare the Bounce method with the Griot's Garage "Bug Off" method.

Best thing I have used so far is 'Bug & Tar wipes' in a tub. Made by 'Turtle Wax'
They are very wet and soft but getting expensive at 8 dollars a tub of 25 wipes.
I will use 4 or 6 just when I drive down to our monthy meet and about the same everytime I first get the car out.

Might have to see if I can get those Bounce things over here.

You don't have dryer sheets in the Empire? Check Kmart. You have one or two of those right?:doubt:

I have used the Griot's Garage "Bug Off". The only product of theirs that did not impress me at all. Try the Bounce it will work.

To be truthful, tonight I asked my wife to go drive around and kill some bugs so I could clean them off the car. An in a MustangMarkus mode she just shook her head.

BTW, if you don't already know. Bounce or other dryer sheets are great for wiping the TV (CRT type) screen dust off. The purpose is that Bounce or it's surrogate will help keep the dust from reclinging to the glass screen. Not perfect, but better than using a window cleaner like Windex.

I don't know that it would be good for the plastic screens of LCD or Plasma screens. Kinda oily like and may tend to smear on the lense.

More uses for BOUNCE!

1. It will chase ants away when you lay a sheet near them.
2. It takes the odor out of books and photo albums that don't
get opened too often.
3. Repels mosquitoes. Tie a sheet of Bounce through a belt loop
when outdoors during mosquito season.
4. Eliminates static electricity from your television screen.
Since Bounce is designed to help eliminate static cling, wipe your
television screen with a used sheet of Bounce to keep dust from
resettling.

5. Dissolve soap scum from shower doors. Clean with a sheet of
Bounce.
6. Freshen the air in your home. Place an individual sheet of
Bounce in a drawer or hang in the closet.
7. Prevent thread from tangling. Run a threaded needle through
sheet of Bounce before beginning to sew.
8. Prevent musty suitcases. Place an individual sheet of Bounce
inside empty luggage before storing.
9. Freshen the air in your car. Place a sheet of Bounce under
the front seat.
10. Clean baked-on foods from a cooking pan. Put a sheet in a
pan, fill with water, let sit overnight, and sponge clean. The
anti-static
agent apparently weakens the bond between the food

11. Eliminate odors in wastebaskets. Place a sheet of Bounce at
the bottom of the wastebasket.
12. Collect cat hair. Rubbing the area with a sheet of Bounce
will magnetically attract all the loose hairs.
13. Eliminate static electricity from venetian blinds. Wipe the
blinds with a sheet of Bounce to prevent dust from resettling.
14. Wipe up sawdust from drilling or sand papering. A used sheet of
Bounce will collect sawdust like a tack cloth.
15. Eliminate odors in dirty laundry. Place an individual sheet
of Bounce at the bottom of a laundry bag or hamper.
16. Deodorize shoes or sneakers. Place a sheet of Bounce in your
shoes or sneakers overnight.
17. Golfers put a Bounce sheet in their back pocket to keep the
bees away.

WOW, Vicki. Maybe this will become a cult thing and we should be buying stock in the company.

I will print your list. Thanks, Vicki.

LOL Rick and Bob! I have tried the bounce trick in a kettle/pot that has a lot of caked on grease. It works! I had seen that list years ago and saved it.

BOUNCE works great in the dryer too! :)

Bounce is made by Procter & Gamble, the company for which I work. Go here for additional suggestions on using this product.

Great list, TwoStangWmn!

PS -Yes, you should buy stock in the company :)

Does the bounce sheet pull the wax or zaino off the surface when you use it? Just curious if you have to re-wax or zaino after using.

I used Bounce to take the bugs off the Bullitt and it worked great. My wife gave me the whole box. Apparently it's good for everything except it's intended use. She quit putting them in the dryer because they plug up the lint screen and could cause a fire. So I now have a whole box of bug removers and based on the list above they'll repel live bugs and remove stink. Thanks for passing this along. Only at IMBOC can you get this kind of information!
