I does look huge next to the Mustang
That was my immediate thought when he pulled up. Don't forget, the bottom four inches or so of that car are flat black to try and make the body look smaller.

Dave and Julie,

Great great pictures....Yes, the Challenger is a boat!! I finally saw one in person about a month ago over at GardenWalk in Anaheim in the parking structure...beautiful, but massive......

Thanks for sharing,

I stopped in at local dodge dealership on Saturday, finally managed to check out on in person.

Agreed on both counts; hot looking car, and is HUGE. Sitting in it, doesn't feel like a performance car - more like a highspeed cruiser but definately not one I'd want to throw through a set of twisties.

And for the price, I'll take a GT500 thank you very much (found an example of each of $53k and change - identical in price)

It looks too fat! It has the "IMPORT" roundness that you see on alot of cars these days, like the Beamers, Camrys, etc. It looks okay but the Bullitt still retains that good ole "American" look. Not an import look.

I would like to see one in Black, Blue or better yet Dark Metallic Green, anything but Orange. I don't think that Orange does the car justice.

The more I see them... (Challengers)

The happier I am that I bought the BULLITT! Absolutely NO regrets...

That challenger looks like what it was--a concept. The rims look too concepty too in order to be retro like everyone is trying to do. The bullitt on the other hand still has it's roots, but I guess this is a rare cool picture. Two retro muscle cars just hangin out waiting for some action. I feel the same way about the new camaro. I just don't like how they designed it.

I checked out a black one at the dealership last weekend. Even in that color, it still looks like a whale and not a ponycar (which it ain't!).

After looking at it in person, my new nickname for the Challenger is 'Porky'... ;)

That said, I do think it's an awesome looking car and would make a good highway cruiser.

I saw one in black on the street, HUGE. I think it looked bigger than the orange.

I was at a car show locally and when I pulled up, there was the crowd of people. All around the new black Challenger. When I parked, most of the crowd left and came to look at the Bullitt. I walked over and checked out the guys car. Very nice. I kinda liked it. He wanted to race after the show. I told him that he didn't have a chance, maybe next time. LOL

I saw a white preproduction challenger back in April, I thought the same thing...big. When he popped the hood to check out the engine it has one of the latest tren full plastic engine cover that hides what is really underneath it. The guy worked for Chrysler but didn't even want to check out my bullit. His loss, or maybe he knew who had the better car. Dan

I haven't seen any Challengers on the street in Portland... When I do, I will be sure to park the Bullitt next to it, so it can lift its leg!

There is one in the town I live in. It is owned by some doctor that traded in his Vet for it. I will take some pictures when 2413 is clean right now it looks like the daily drive she is.

 Good one.

I saw an Orange one on the road here in Salem back in August. Haven't seen it since.
