Well, my wife and I have been going over our finances pretty closely over the last few days. We want to build a house this summer and it looks like the biggest obstacle we have to overcome is the extra car payment the Bullitt represents. We bought it to take advantage of 0% interest and both love the car, we just want a new home more. If we sell the Bullitt it would free up about $520/month, $425 car payment and about $95 insurance.

At this point I’m only making a half-hearted attempt to sell it. I know I’ll really miss it when it’s gone. I won’t need to go into options, everybody here knows what these cars have. Mine’s Dark Highland Green with the Mach 460. I’ve added a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter but still have the original too. It has tinted windows and the Ford alarm system, both installed by the dealer with full warranty. I think I’ll keep the MGW aluminum A/C knobs just as a reminder of the car. It has less than 2,700 miles on it and it was gently broken in with an oil change at the dealership around 1,500 miles. I’ve been meaning to take it to the track to get some time slips, but haven’t had time... so it’s never seen a racetrack. It’s kept garaged and has only seen rain twice, the first time was the day I brought it home.

If you’re interested, I owe approximately $24,250 on it and will let it go for that. Shoot me an email at [email protected] and I’ll answer any questions. I’m in the Dallas area, not too interested in delivering but maybe we can work something out.

Rob, good luck in selling the car (and not selling it too, hahaha). I also hope you can somehow keep the Bullitt but I also know how other priorities can sometimes have an impact on decisions. Sounds like you took good care of it and wish I could afford 2 of them.

My brother is looking for a bullitt and lives in Ennis. He will not be ready to buy until March or so. I will keep your email and contact you when he is ready and see if you still have it and are willing to sell it. Hopefully it will work out. Good luck selling it!(Or maybe not)

Double J, are you saying that Bullitt #1147 is totaled? Man, sorry to hear that! What happened? </BLOCKQUOTE></FONT></TD></TR><TR><TD><HR></TD></TR></TABLE>
I would say 404r.w.h.p.391 torque played a key part in getting totaled.

Well, it is a long story but to make it a short story, I allowed a friend to drive it ,he turned a corner (slippery road) and it fishtailed, he over corrected and hit a telephone pole and sheared it off.Fortunately nobody got hurt.

Well, not to make you feel any worse, but I did the same thing 10 years ago with my Black '85 GT. I loved that car, but we decided to sell it to get the house.

We have regretted that decision ever since, although the Bullitt has made up for it a bit.

Crap, I bet I did make it worse.

Good luck eitherway, and remember that living in a car is usually a bad thing.

I talked to my brother about it but he says he still wants to wait longer and make a few more payments on his car. Why? I have no idea, it is a POS. Anyway, I will keep working him, but it doesn't look good.
