Further info on this weekend:

At the show:

Those of us staying overnight should get through registration by 7:30 and form up.

I will bring a tent and a 6' table.

This is where we will gather and hang .

The table will be to display any Bullitt memorabilia especially Bullitt movie related items[ movie poster, car models, pictures of movie scenes]

Please bring what you have for the display - I'm sure people will come over to view despite no announcements available.

Remember we have been given this opportunity only due to the 50th anniversary of the movie.

At all times someone must watch the stuff while others view the other 900 - 1100 cars expected.

After the Show:

We will make plans for an early meal for those interested. Show breaks down at 4 pm.

Friday , Jan 12 :

NPD leads a cruise to Cedar Key village for lunch and sightseeing.

It leaves between 9- 9:30 and returns mid - afternoon.

There are about 250- 300 Cars going with a police escort. The town can feed about 175 - go figure.

NPD [900 SW 38th Ave, Ocala, FL 34474] also opens up for viewing their great 250 vehicle collection all day.

I plan to view the collection , not go one the cruise.

Those of us who will be there on Friday will meet in their parking lot starting from 3:30.

Charlie will make a reservation at a restaurant for all those staying over or live in the area.- think there are about 5-6 Bullittheads.

You can RSVP on that , also.

Hope the weather is good and everyone can make it - life is good when you have nice friends ....and own a cool ride.

Barb and I will be there! We are staying at the Silver Springs RV Park (trailering the 68 behind our motorhome again). The RV Park is right across from the Silver Springs Park entrance. We plan on arriving on Thursday afternoon. Not sure about 3:30 am meet up on Friday (Barb would shoot me). Will be there for the cruise but not sure what time I will get to the NPD lot. I can bring a 10 x 10 pop up tent and extra chairs to the show also if needed.

I'll be there Saturday morning despite the early arrival time. Ed is correct, I'd like to get a room so I can sleep longer; however, I know that Bill and I would likely end up drinking in the parking lot and spending a good part of the night/early morning talking about cars. Thus, leading to less sleep than if I just stayed home and went to bed early. I'll be there, but it'll take extra coffee for sure.

On Friday, 1/12 , at 5:30 pm we’ll have a dinner gathering at the Cracker House at 10863 E HW 40 in Silver Springs .

It’s a BBQ joint that is very near the Silver Springs State Park entrance and the hotels where some of you are staying.

Charlie says it’s terrific BBQ.

I'll be at the NPD headquarters until about 3:30 PM , if anyone wants to meet me there.

To 68STANG - Yes , please bring a tent . I'll bring a table , most guys have chairs.

To : hollow- point/ Brian-" Poor little baby has to get up early," we love ya and appreciate the effort.

I'll have a great announcement about my upcoming trip to Los Angeles.

Don't forget to bring anything movie/ Bullitt related for the display table.

Looking forward to seeing you all and your Bullitts.

That’s Courtney Barber from Team Mustang Girls. www.teammustanggirls.com She does freelance for them and lives here in the Charleston area. Our local club is having a OMBC (Old Man’s/Mustangers Breakfast Club) meeting this Wednesday and she will be on hand. I’ll have to bring her up to speed on Highland Green Paint. ;-) LoL. She’s super cool and recently restored a classic mustang. Drove it cross country to Alaska and several shows. She knows how to wrench and just bought an old Bronco to fix up too.

Despite the cold weather and getting on the show field late , it was a great day for Florida Bullittheads and visitors to renew friendships and appreciate everyone's rides.

Special thanks to Mike from Virginia, Bill from Tallahassee and Chuck from Georgia fro making the long trip to be with us.

We had 10 cars led by Charlie and got a good spot to show off our " British Racing Green" Mustangs.

We also had a visit from some of the wives and young and future Bullittheads - congrats to Paul with his new baby. And it was great to see Brian's young son growing so fast.

Also enjoyed a sample of Brian's great tasting homemade brew!

I loved seeing and learning about the little and unique things the guys have done to their cars- I got plenty of ideas and good info.

This show had over 830 cars on display and I think the turnout was a real surprise to Rick Schmidt of NPD.
Maybe they will rethink the decision to stop sponsoring this event and resurrect it in the future.

Overall, a good time was had by all.

Now on to the MFMC Show Feb 24, in Longwood.

I would have thought the girl from MM&FF would have done a bit more coverage with that many Bullitts there. doubt by her comment about the color and lack of coverage she knew what she was looking at.
