I really like the one McQueen designed, but I wanted one that could be placed to the left of the lighter socket, where it could be seen better.
Back in early December, I emailed a friend of mine in Vegas that makes custom plaques and display cases for movie prop replicas. His name is Toby and I've been doing business with him for the past 2 1/2 years.
He wasn't able to make one exactly like McQueens, but he was sucessful making the one seen below. It's made out of magnesium and has a ruler in the pic to show it's scale.
Toby does great work and this plaque is no exception. I was very impressed with it, and the color of the plaque matches the interior nicely.
I knew he was having some trouble perfecting these...I emailed him today to say thanks and for his permission of offer them to the forum.

That one was a little bit of a pain to figure out. There is one thing you need to be aware of. I’m not sure if the plaque will stay nice and new looking. I have had some reports of tarnishing from people who live on the East Coast. Use your discretion attaching it to the inside of your car. I would recommend something that is not permanent. Double sided tape should work fine.
The plaque will run $21 + $4 shipping via Priority Mail. Can you “test” yours for me to see how it holds up inside a car? As you can guess, the plaques I do are for indoor use only. Never had a request for something like this before

As of tomorrow I'm "testing" mine to see how it does. I personally don't think it'll age any worse than my Bullitt will. If you live in a salty climate, maybe a coat of clear flat paint would prevent any oxidation in the future.
I used some heavy-duty double-sided tape to attach mine to my dash/console. Got it straight the first time, too.
Anyway, if you would like to go ahead and buy one, just email him with your build number and production date (check your VIN decal in the doorjamb for the prod. date, or your build sheet if you were as lucky as I was)
He will reply with a "picture" of your plaque and you let him know the info is correct before he proceeds with making the real thing.

I'm not making any money on this deal, I'm just the messenger/reviewer and sending all of my fellow BullittHeads directly to the source.
As mentioned above, the plaques are $21.00 plus $4.00 shipped priority mail.
Thanks for looking,
Scott D.
