Speaking of the original movie. For those of you that do not have a copy, GET ONE , and make sure it is the one that has the Special features before the movie . Like the behind the scenes documentary , Steve McQueens committment to reality, and the movie trailers. It's GREAT

If you are looking to get a copy of the movie, "Bullitt" , my better half ordered me one for Christmas at Blockbuster Video, of course it took 2 months to come in and it is VHS not DVD, but they may have DVD's available. I have heard that Walmart sells the DVD, but never really checked into it.

FYI--I know Best Buy and Suncoast carry Bullitt on DVD for $14.99-$19.99. I think Circuit City carries it also. You can usually find it at Suncoast, but not always at Best Buy.

speaking of the movie. Something that has bugged me since I started reading the Bullitt reviews. MORE than one article made reference about the Charger losing 8 hub caps. (How this effects the 2001 Bullitt I'm not sure) Anyway, I have watched the chase scene about 10 times and the Charger only loses 4 hub caps. You could count 5 if you count the one in the curve down hill twice, once from the front and then the next second they show it from the mustang viewpoint. So I figure some writer bad mouthed the movie with the 8 hubcap complaint and from then on all these writers, like our friend at Forbes, Frank, just kept on repeating the lie. Ok done with the rant....

I think that I got most of you beat. A couple of years ago, the local TV station had some free time on a Sunday night (9-11), Ford of Canada bought the whole 2 hours. They showed the Bullitt movie, but the kicker is that Ford, for commercials, showed all the old Mustang commercials, from when the Mustang was intoduced to the current ones (1994 or 1995). Needless to say, I taped it and now I fast foward throught movie to watch the commercials and the chase scene.
