Hey Bullittheads, forgive me if this is a repeat:

If you want to add (even more) smiles to your face when driving your Mustang, purchase the Bullitt soundtrack.
Yes, the movie soundtrack has been re-released and sounds fantastic.

While the CD begins with the score from the introduction to the movie, the second track of the CD is called 'Shifting Gears' and is that wonderful tune preceding the pursuit of the black Charger.

Its hard to avoid hitting the throttle heavily upon the end of that tune....

Hi Terry,

Hey... any guy who's willing to drive to the Lexington, KY airport to pick me up and take me to the dealer in Mt. Sterling, KY who is selling me my Bullitt (assisted by his trusty "wing man" Mark) and then initiate me into the "Bullitt Family" is a Friend For Life in my book.

After all, Terry... without your help I would not have been able to take my love of Mustangs... Steve McQueen... that great Soundtrack... and "play acting" (like at Halloween time) and pull off this little "experience" recently...

Hi Dan!

Apologies for taking the thread slightly off course there, but I had to acknowledge my buddy, Terry, first. Hope you understand (and don't mind the pics I added to the thread. ;) )

You are right. That soundtrack makes driving the Bullitt a whole 'nother experience!

And - in my humble opinion - playing that music is something we Bullitt owners (replica, 01 and 08/09) are uniquely qualified to do! ;)

Thanks for highlighting the special sound that's part of our lives! :) :) :)

Hey, I downloaded it through iTunes, then converted all the songs from MP4s to MP3s so I can play them on all of my MP3 players. You're right, it's good listening - and would be fun to play while at the car show - along with a few other songs.

Someone at the 2006 Bullitt Nationals in San Francisco made CD copies of the soundtrack for every person that entered....Played on the way home(six hour drive) and was quite entertaining.....

I just looked it up on itunes and the sound quality is great. Wish I had thought of getting it before I went to SF earlier this year. Would have been cool driving around with it in the background.
