Too true. If you lose them they are hard to replace. I took all the ones off my wifes 04 before we sold it. Just in case.
Bullitt specific tire valve cap???
A Bullitt owners swears he has a B with a bluish/grey valve cap that he was told was specific to the '01 Bullitt.
I never heard of this but promised him I'd put this on the site to elicit comments.

Nothing special,just cheap plastic caps put on all new Fords,of that time?
I have saved mine anyway...just in case! Might sell them on e-bay as super rare 2001 Bullitt valve stem caps,for big bucks....or maybe on the next B/J auto auction!!!

I know for a fact they were not BULLITT specific, I have seen them on Explorers also with alloy wheels. My memory is my only source, if you want to believe it. -lol-

I had someone steal just one of my original gray plastic caps at a cruise night about a year ago.
They were on all Fords that year.
I went to the Ford parts department where I bought the car in 2001 to order a new set (just in case I lost the others).
The parts guy told me they don't sell just the caps. You have to order the whole valve stem for $4.95 each.
That really pi$$ed me off but I ordered just the one anyway.
Just call your Ford dealer's parts dept. and you'll see it's true.

my friend's 03 Mach 1 had them too, in fact, since I had already changed mine out, when he got tires, they left some off so I replaced his with mine that he was missing. I think I saw an e-bay auction one time for a whole box of them for sale.
Had black plastic valve caps on mine. When I got new tires the guy changing my tires offered to put chrome valve caps on. They look better than the plastic and match the rim.
