My side of the story so don't be too rough on the newbie.
The WS-6 TA is nice. I've raced a 99 and barely beat it. Probably the driver because I gave it a good run to 110 and he was still 1 car behind me. And he offered to give me a length and the go! But that being said, some LS1s and Bullitts for that matter, are tweeked a little better than others. Its just a factory thing I guess.
My V-6 Mustang would hand a modded V-6 from 94-99 up their ass while I retained a stockish form. That's until I raced that 99 v-6 5speed. Ugh.
I have a friend with a 01 Z28 with Cut out whatever in the front, a tuner, muffler, and a few other knick knacks, and he can only pull 5 on me before it evens out. A race on I45 heading toward Galveston proved that. He should have around 80 to 90 more hp than me too. But he's only running a 13.4 in the track and slightly beating other F bodies.
Maybe I have it good because I only raced modded Fbodies and such that I have to race harder and faster to keep up. Good for mental and physical race training right?
Point is: F bodies are nice cars. Granted they're about as old as the Fox chassis cars are. They produce more power than a OHC motor, well, atleast the GTs anyway. But I'd like to think Ford made it to where we have the option of picking which engine car we'd like to have. GM is 3.8 or 5.7. Either at 200, 305 or 320 while Ford uses 3 different motors ie the 3.8, 4.6 SOHC and DOHC. (no matter what you say, they still are different motors) We have more options. The WS-6 package is expensive, though some F body owners might disagree. I priced one @ 31k, and that's with getting a discount because I knew one of the managers. Maybe due to different times of the year sales or whatever can account but simply stating, if I wanted to go as fast as an LS1, I would've bought a Cobra. Wheel hop or not, I've seen plenty of Cobras eat LS1s... And the other way around too.
BTW, you guys are funny. I'm glad to be back.

From what I have seen and read, a stock Cobra would not be able take a stock WS6. As always, it depends on the driver.
