Surfing over on the other Mustang sites, I find it interesting what people are doing and spending on their GT's to be more Bullitt like. One guy purchased front and back seats for $1000. A bunch of people are paying $350+ for Bullitt shocks, struts, and springs. $500+ for brakes, $700 for the intake, etc... So, after they spend all this money, they still don't have everything the Bullitt has. Also, it is NOT A BULLITT! Not that anyone needed assurance, but the Bullitt was well worth the added $$$$, and then some! I love this car!

I love seeing that at the other sites. I used to think and dread "Here come the clones". But the more and more I think about it it becomes a poetic kind of justice and vindication for us. Everytime I read a post about people putting Bullitt items on their car or see one of our fuel doors on another I just sit back with an even more content smile on my face.

Since the production and delivery process began in March 01 there have been the preverbial potshots taken and directed toward this model and company. All I can say is that I never regreted for one second my choice in buying a classic. I commend Ford for having the cahoneas to go thru with it
They say "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". You know when we are seen by everybody else they just stop and stare and maybe ask all the same questions that we've heard a million times. Anyway I love my BULLITT. And you know what they say about opinions, they're like bellybuttons everybody
has one. :wink

Does kind of make me feel morally and intellectually superior to the masses. Personally, the $3695 for the Bullitt package was worth it for the stuff they didn't put on like spoilers and ground effects. The performance goodies are just icing on the cake.

I just picked the Bullitt from the service dept. tonight. The service writer took good care of her. Apparently all the service guys were gawking and walking around the Bullitt all day. They don't do that when a Cobra comes in for service! And I'm not knocking Cobras. They are a sweet car. It just shows how special the Bullitt really is now and in the future!
