Here you go.. Been real busy the last couple days sorry it took me so long to get these up for you.'''

Sometimes you just can't resist trying to make your car yours alone.

Early in spring I ordered the vanity plate JJZ109 (the tags from the movie
car). They recently came in. I know they're Mass. plates but hey, McQueen
played Thomas Crown, a Boston millionaire/art thief right after Bullitt.

Ever since I saw the show car I was hoping the production cars would have
the same "pony" gas cap. It didn't, so I had one engraved.

Also, I've never liked looking at the black Styrofoam that peeks out from
the rear bumper vents.
So, I fixed that with an $8 length of polished aluminum tile floor molding.

And let's not forget the addition of the MW black reflective rear bumper
inserts.

All really subtle styling mods. Two 1st place and one 3rd place show
trophies tell me it's cool.

As much as I'd like to take credit for a great mod these aren't mine.. They're Bullitt220's. He e-mailed me the pics and the text to put up for him.. That tail mod is a really cool idea though. I'm going out today and seeing about that one myself.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the compliments.

I searched everywhere to find someone to do the gas cap for me. Most guys wouldn't touch it because they were not sure how to engrave on aluminum and some had issues with logo licensencing.

But I finally found a guy on the Internet who does glass etching and he said he give it a shot.

So I sent him the outlined art I made on my Mac and he tried his experiment and there you go.

If anyone else is interested let me know. I'm not sure if he'll take on any more but I can ask.

As for the brushed aluminum bumper grill insert, that's a piece of tile floor molding from Home Depot. $1 a foot. a hack saw and a Dremmel stone to smooth out the edges. There' s a little more to it than that and you gotta have the guts to do it.

I think it looks awesome. If you'd like to know more about it maybe I could take some instructional photos and blakwing could post them for me as he did with these. ( Thanks, again Steve)

Just let me know.

I'd be really interested in knowing how you did the aluminum in the bumper. If you could write up some directions for it that would be awesome!

I'll also be writing up some instructions on how do the bumper inserts.

I am about to post some photos on how to do the rear grill mod. Stay tuned. Blakwing is going to help me with the posting.

You and I must have similar taste's. I used the same trick behind the rear bumper and also have two 1st place trophie's. The window's will get tinted and I found black bullet valve stem cap's. This site is what I've been looking for! Thank's.

Eleanor,

I like your screen name. Welcome to the BC.

What kind of window tint are you getting. I've seen this new stuff that fades from black to silver. It looks really cool. Know anything about it?
