Well, if they're chrome or Billitt-like, you're probably better off. They're not white, are they?

I wouldn't do it to mine, since you asked. I think it's a bit redundant on a car that makes it's name known just by being there. I've seen far less style imparted on a 'stang, however.

If you can use it or lose it without marring your Bullitt permanently, then I'd say no harm done. It does seem to be more common in the 'nuevo-stang' sect.

If you like it, don't listen to others. Enjoy!

What I would really like is a rear cover that said BULLITT;-)...

Take care.

Tom,
were you on the Trinity Mills Rd around 6pm today? I think I saw your car. I wasn't driving the Bullitt since it was a wet morning in DFW.

As for the letters, aahh...

Well... it looks OK to me after a few beers,
but if it makes you happy, have at it!

I think the look of the black reflective letters would look cool on our dark cars. The black would be subtle enough, especially on a black car, but would relect at night or when light hit it. They say the black letters don't look reflective at all during the day. Mustangworld.com has cool demo pics on their site.
Honestly, I wish Ford would have made the bumper cover on the Bullitt smooth without any imprinted letters at all.

I agree, black would be just enough....IMHO the other colors are somewhat loud (but still a nice personal touch.

I like the idea, but didn't think I could get letters that would match the Bullitt badge letters. If they matched up, I think that would be cool. I can't tell by the picture what color those are.

Max -- it wasn't me on Trinity Mills at 6PM last night. I was driving the Bullitt back from Conroe last night didn't get back to Carrollton until 9PM.

To others, though they look white in the picture, the letters are "brushed aluminum" and match the license frame real close but are brighter than the Bullitt badge. Good thing about them is they only cost $12 and can be peeled off if I decide I don't like them afterall.

I have the black reflective inserts on mine. I like the subtle look during the daytime.

At night on the highway others can see them a mile away and I get a lot of ricers trying to keep up when I blow by 'em.

I was going to get the aluminum ones but decided against them.

I think they look good on yours though!
Don't be sorry, just enjoy 'em.

My suggestion is to not let anyone else sway your opinion. If you like them, keep them. If you don't, peel them off. I wouldn't concern myself with wether your car is an unmodified Bullitt or an unmodified Shelby Cobra...do what you want...it's yours, all yours. Enjoy your car.
