On the way home today a truck kicked up a stone and it hit the top of my winshield. By the time I got home the crack ran all the way down. Broke my heart too! Team auto glass wants $423.25 for a new one installed. They didn't even know what a Bullitt was! They said a 2001 GT windshield will fit. I hope the pony on the top is on it. Anyone know for sure if the regular GT windshield is the same size? I'm pretty bummed out right now, but boy do I love this car,. Will it ever be the same again. The Bullitt club will always make me feel better!

That seems a little pricey. I've never replaced the glass in a Mustang so I could be mistaken. But to replace the Glass in a '99 Escort, a '95 Ranger and a '98 Ranger all came out to be right around $230 for each one from Autolite. They come to your house with a truck and install the glass in your driveway while you wait. I'd ask one other place and see if the costs are in line with your quote.

Make sure they replace it with an OEM glass and not an aftermarket one. OEM is a factory glass and will most likely be more expensive, but it will fit better than aftermarket. Both should have a pony on top. A regular GT glass will fit.

My wife had the same thing happen to her in her Bullitt #1880. She had it for less than two weeks. We called a couple of glass shops and went tp Safelite, they are a chain store with outlets all over. They said that they had the correct glass but when we got there, it was the wrong one(generic). They did order and get the correct one. Make sure it is a "Carlite" glass. That is the same as original. Our glass was only around $300. installed.
