Mus408,

That's correct. Sorry I don't have a prize for you.

This shot was taken in 1989. We were filming a TV spot for a Bank in Rhode Island. He was the Bank's spoksman.

He is still around and he is a Mustang enthusiast. He told me he had a 67 convertible at the time.

On the show he always had Mopar convertibles and no matter how fast he drove, his hair never moved.

Anyone remember that Olds Toronado convertible that Mannix drove in the first season?

What a boat but very cool!

Here's a list of the cars he drove in the series;

1967-68: Barris customized 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado convertible (silver/blue in color); Oldsmobile did not make a convertible version of the Toronado

1968-69: 1968 Dodge Dart convertible earlier, 1969 Dodge Dart Convertible later (both dark green in color)

1969-70: 1969 Dodge Dart convertible (same used in the second half of the prior season)

1970-71: 1970 Plymouth Barracuda convertible (dark green in color)

1971-72: 1971 Plymouth Barracuda convertible (dark green in color)

1972-73: 1972 Plymouth Barracuda convertible (dark green in color)

1973-74: 1973 Dodge Challenger hardtop; Chrysler had discontinued making convertibles for the Barracudas and Challengers (silver/blue in color)

1974-75: 1974 Chevrolet Camaro (medium blue in color)

Nasty,

You are a weath of trivia aren't you?

I had forgotten about the Toronado until now.

That was a cool land yacht.

Hey Nasty Bob,

Here's one I'll bet you didn't know. One of Tom Selleck's first acting jobs was on Mannix. He played a patrol officer at the scene of a crime that Joe Mannix later solved. He was on screen for about 30 seconds and his only line was, "Yes Lieutenant ."

For those of you who don't know who Tom Selleck is, he had a show in which he played a private detective in Hawaii, Magnum, PI.

And another thing Nasty, did you know the Green Hornet was actually the Lone Ranger's grandson??? Huh???? Huh???

Actually 220, I didn't know that Tom Selleck was ever on Mannix. I do remember Selleck on the Rockford Files, as Lance White, the picture perfect P.I. driving a white Cadillac Eldorado.

BTW, Lone Ranger, real name John Reid and the Green Hornet's real name is Britt Reid.

How about that? :-B

Now, one for you.

Who played TV detective Richard Diamond and who was his secretary that never showed her face, only her legs? :-B

Yes, Mannix what a great show. Now his secretary was hot. I understand that she passed away a couple of years back. Wasn't her name Peggy - or something like that?
