Well if I were a rich man,I'd go with the carbon fiber shaft,a weight savings of 10-11 lbs. of rotating weight. The aluminum shaft weighs in at 6-7 lbs. less than stock. BUT at $900 bucks for the carbon fiber unit vs. $170 for the Aluminum piece.....Well I went with the aluminum shaft.

The carbon fiber is stronger,if built correctly. Where did you see one for $399? I saw one for $500,but it had steel ends, which made it slightly heavier than the aluminum shaft. The one for $900 had the aluminum ends. The Ford aluminum shaft is plenty for the 4.6
