CAUTION with windshield replacements and your body molding!

Just thought I'd let you all know. In order to replace the windshield on your Bullitt, it is necessary to remove the long, curved pieces of body/pillar side trim that wrap up the sides of the windshield and across the front half of the roof. Those body trim pieces are very thin metal and dent easily. It's a REAL issue on any dark-colored SN-95. I had a successful replacement on my '94 Cobra but ran into trouble with an incident in another instance. I had a guy lean on my Cobra from overhead while he was getting off a ladder (adjusting my garage door). And, wouldn't you know it, my Cobra was dented permanently. Not a biggie, but always noticable to me, 'cause it was black. I NEVER let anyone lean on those lightweight side moldings that all of our Bullitts possess.

Already ? What happened ?
Some weenie on the freeway in a dump truck dropping rocks broke my 2900 mile windshield. I didn't notice it until 15 miles later when he was gone. It hit me on the very edge of the windshield on the passenger side and then started a crack moving across the middle of the windshield. It's about 2ft long now. It just happened last night. I am replacing it with a factory windshield on Tuesday.
