Here's what they wrote:

Highlights for 2002
To base, GT, and Cobra versions the original pony car adds a Bullitt GT coupe. All but the Bullitt are available as convertibles with a power top and glass rear window. Base Mustangs have a 190-hp V6, GTs a 260-hp V8, Cobras a 320-hp V8. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard; automatic is optional on base and GT, excluding Bullitt. Cobra has independent rear suspension in place of other models' less-sophisticated solid-axle design. Added midyear to mimic Steve McQueen's 1968 movie Mustang, the GT-based Bullitt has an estimated 275 hp, special suspension and trim. All Mustangs have 4-wheel disc brakes; ABS is optional on the base model, standard on the others. Traction control is standard on Cobra, optional elsewhere. Side airbags are unavailable.

they better not have a 2002 bullitt, or else there goes the value of our cars. I think some people don't understand the phrase "limited edition". I bet certain people did bother to check if they were still making bullitts.

The much rumored 2002 Bullitt will be an improved model, equipped with the 300 HP 32V 4.6,same as Marauder. We know we made a mistake during the 2001 1/2 production units, and hope this will correct the situation for future Mustang Bullitt GT purchasers. Thanks for your continued interest in our products.... A.H. Mustang Division ,Ford. How does that sound?
