Their new 5.7 Hemi head engine is slated for 2003 trucks, and later into the cars. It uses no fancy overhead cam setup, but very efficient hemi cylinder heads. Power output to be about 330 HP. This thing will have 2 plugs per cylinder, remember the Pro Stock Hemis of 1971!! Ford better get with it as far as efficient, larger, high HP engines!!Overhead cams don't make the power. The port design and displacement make the power.

The April 2002 Hot Rod mag, page 70 states the SRT-10 will go for "45 large". Bet you can't get it for that cheap when they are released though. Also shows 500HP, 500TQE, 5000 Lbs, 0.9 lateral g's. 0-60 in 5 seconds, 12.9 in 1/4 @ 109 MPH and 0-100-0 in 18 seconds. Move out of the way Ford Lightning the bar has been raised considerably.

If you get this mag look on the next page for the new Neon, quickest car in the US for under $20K. 0-60 in 5.9 secs, top speed of 148. Oh, on page 66+ it shows the GT-40 going for $75k+.
