Been noticing some clutch noise coming from the shifter area. Slight constant squeal when clutch is depressed (not all the time, just when I start it in the morning). Noticed a wavering squeal for the first time tonight after driving up the driveway (fairly steep) then depressing the clutch at the top. Still plenty of clutch left, just making some new noises.

Any ideas?

Exactly.. I had to take mine in for the exact same sound. A known issue with the throwout bearing. Take it in and get it replaced.

Mine Clutch did same. Waited two weeks, then took it in. Was getting progressively worse. (Squealling more often) Dealer fixed no problem. Like mentioned above it is a known problem with throw out bearing. Why drive when it sounds like that? Mine was starting to embarrass me!

Mine went for over 2 months. The squeal can only be described as the sound a machine bearing makes when it's out of or low on lube. Sometimes it was terrible (could hear it over the radio), and other times it wasn't there at all or hardly noticable.
At any rate it is part of your clutch and you should get it checked out asap, but if you had to put it off for a short while you should still be fine.
