What exactly does a burned clutch smell like? I have smelled what seems to be rotten eggs in my car 3 or 4 times. I thought it was probably the exhause, but I haven't heard about anybody else smelling this.

A rotten egg smell is almost always the cats.

I usually only smell the rotten eggs under hard acceleration. Does that mean the cats are bad or should I not worry about it?

That smell says that you are burning them out.Not to worry,once burnt out,it will be as if they aren't there,and your burble will be sweeter.
