When I asked my dealer about the flash to the computer he said the only thing it does is retard the timing to get rid of the pinging. Mine's not pinging and I don't want the timing retarded because of performance issues. Decided not to have it done.

When did the new program become available?

I've had mine in for 5000 mile service already, and I don't believe they did it.

swanson, it's only for the earlier Bullitts.
i forget what # it stops at but it was caught somewhere arounf 1800???
look at your sticker on the passenger door. if it says KSG1, you have the old original computer code and have the option to get it "re-flashed". if it says KSG2, you already have the proper computer code programed

DrivingSimulators,

Have you tried premium gas? When I run anything less than 93 octane mine pings above 3800 RPMs. I also have the KSG2 program.
