This an all looks mod. It does nothing to improve braking. Most shops cannot turn a drilled rotor, and drilled rotors are more prone to cracking.

If it's all about looks to you-do it.

If not, and you actually care about performance, don't

I've heard that if you really want to improve braking then keep the rotors and calipers we have and buy kevlar brakepads for them. I don't know much about the subject yet but am researching it.
It's a relatively cheap but highly effective mod too, I hear...much cheaper than rotors anyway.

The problem with the stock rotors is that they have been prone to failure.

I have been told by someone who had a disk break that they are actually 2 pieces, hat and disk, welded up.

Using aftermarket pads will increase the heat made and could cause failure of the disk and even cause a failure of the brake lines.

So- if you look at performance pads, check out stainless lines.

I agree, stainless steel brake lines would be a good mod...especially for high-intensity braking, like at the track. Drilled rotors look extremely cool...but that's it...for a real quality drilled rotor, you will pay a very hefty price. Slotted rotors may be something to consider, but I don't know much about them. New pads would definitely be a plus...Dennis, keep us updated on the kevlar pads!!
