E-mailed John De Molet at www.densecharger.com asking if he would discount his kits for group purchases for bullittclub members. The discount saves $2 plus the cost of shipping for the 100mm system. JOhn Highly suggests the 100mm system for the bullitt. Here is his reply:

Mr. Halpin, sure I'll give a price break on a group purchase. $115.00, delivered, for the 100mm system, or $94.00 delivered for the 77mm system. I'm not able to discount them much more. Figure these prices at 5 at a time on the 100mm. Thank you!

Sincerely, John De Molet

The This is what John form densechager told me.

The 100mm kit is for twin throttle bodies like our bullits and cobras. The smaller unit is for GT's. The larger 100mm kit is for increased top end while the smaller unit is for low end torque.

Our cars have plenty of low end torque so that is the reason why John suggests the 100MM unit. This unit replaces your stock air box and puts the K&N filter in the fender. You keep the stock MAF in your car.

SO IT WOULD BE EVEN MORE ADVANTAGES TO GO WITH A larger MAF along with the densecharger

I wrestled with the same choice and got the 100mm system, thanks to John's great advice. I was able to meet up with another local Bullitt in Tucson and drive the two one right after the other (his is bone stock). The 100mm system has snappier throttle response, more power (seems to me throughout the entire RPM range), and better sound throttle on and also throttle off..a bit of a muscle-grumble.
Since then I've added the 3.73 and alum driveshaft for better low end accel (again at John's suggestion).
I suggest disobeying the Denscharger installation instrustions and assembling the PVC pipes and plexi fender shield/mount FIRST, then attaching to MAF, and FINALLY attaching the filter from underneath. This was the only was I could make the installation happen. You'll understand when you study the instructions.

John suggests that you DO NOT change your MAF with the kit.

I am also interested in this group buy on the 100mm densecharger. I was planning on making this my first mod, so this will come at a good time for me. Hey, with the $2, I could buy a couple of beers to help me install it.

Call John at densecharger and tell him you are part of the bullittclub group purchase and you will get the discount.
