How many of you follow this site? I logged in back in August to ask the famous cobra or bullitt question.. most of them said I should buy the cobra.. hmm

I have recently been back over there and posting a little more, wanting to get active in the local scene. Bullittclub is SOOO MUCH more professional! but there are some knowledgable people and DAMN FAST cars over there! 500Hp +!!

Just curious if anyone else here has been able to wade through the muck long enough to get something out of it.

Hey llama_boy, I did pretty much the same thing as you. In August I was thinking about going for the Bullitt, and visited DFWstangs.net, made a few posts and just started posting again last week. It's cool to have such a big local scene, but I aggree with all of your comments. A lot of flaming over there which is one thing we don't have here. Does seem like a knowledgable group, with a lot of get togethers.

Wife and I were eating at i fretteli in North Irving just south of I-635 and MacArthur. We finished and were waiting for some friends to join us so we went for a walk. When I turned the corner outside I saw about 10 hot looking cars.. 80's lx 5.0 with a fuel pressure guage sticking out of the hood, TA, couple of late model stangs with obvious mods..

I went up to the group and asked them what was going on. They said it was just a normal get together and there would be more ppl later. We went back and had coffee with our friends and left i fretteli again about 2 hours later. There must have been 70 cars out there! Everything from rx-7s to supras to prowlers to stangs. Everything from bone stock to 'Is that really street legal?'

Wish I had more time to socialize but I had to leave..

Oh yeah the reason I posted this here is b/c the first group of ppl I talked with were regulars on dfwstangs.net. They were very friendly and more mature than I expected. I guess their forums are so "informal" b/c they all know each other so well from meets like this.. I'm glad I wasn't too quick to judge them all based on the normal muck posted on their site. :-B

Good to hear,
I did an into post over there and got a lot of friendly replies. I was told that everyone is real cool, but like to kid around too. I guess a little smack talk never hurt anyone. Anyway I have read about some of their get togethers, but haven't checked one out yet. Maybe sometime soon, it would be cool to see a few of us DFW Bullitt's there too.
