Well I was wondering what you guys thought about this. The dealership I went to had 2 true blue Bullitts. One was #2968 (mine) and the other was like 449 or something like that. I thought it would be cool to have the 2968 one because of the movie. 1968 was the year that mustang was. As most of you know. Well did I make the right decision or did a pass up a great oppurtunity on a low number?

Looks like the numbers are relatively insignificant as long as you're happy with the quality of your choice.

Some say the lower numbers had bugs to be worked out, although that hasn't been proven out.

Anyway, the lower number only counts when you're ready to sell, right?

16!!!! Man wen I was 16 the last thing I was worried about was the SN of a car. Heck I got my first car, a 66 'stang, when it was 8 years old.

I don't think it really matters what # you have, just be glad you got one.

I hear ya, 408! I paid $200 for my Max-Wedge '64 Belvedere. Of course the engine was roached, but it did have that fat 4 speed and Detroit locker. After a little wheeling and dealing, I ended up with $900 in it and it was an instant 11 second quarter miler.

Was that back when everywhere you went it was uphill in the show?
