Took 503 out late this afternoon, after putting in some long hours on the 85 LX.Man,I don't know what it is,but it felt real powerfull today! Of course the weather was blue sky and about 60 degree, and it has been about 1 1/2 week since the last ride, but it was great!!! Oh,and Bullitt just turned 5,000 miles today...maybe that was it!

Oh yeah! Sometimes it feels a lot faster. Or maybe slower is what I notice. The best way I can explain it is that sometimes it feels heavier, like it is dragging an extra 400 lbs or so around. It's pretty random, some days it feels like that, some days it doesn't. I guess weather plays a part, but who knows.

Well, your car should feel a little more responsive on a nice cool day like 40 or 50 degrees...as compared to 90 degrees and humid or something.
I remember going to a Fun Ford Weekend in Ennis, TX and the cars were running noticably faster than previous years since it was quite cold out.

Mine always feels fast after its been washed and waxed for 4 hours. I did just that today and she was running like a scalded dog. Driving down 66 with the 80's station blaring on my XM stereo. It doesnt get any better than that

i think my mood and attitude also make a difference in how the Bullitt feels some days!

Our Bullitt has good days and better days. I wish I knew why. I don't think it is mental. I try to drive conservatively, but there are days when the car just wants to RUN. It's going to get me in trouble someday entering the expressway at 100mph.

Fact of the matter is th when it is colder outside you will have a little more power. Same effect as putting a cold air induction system on the car.

A turbo car will have way more power on the cold days because the intercooler and the air charge are all colder.

This weekend it was something like -20 degC out and the turbo bird was pushing 13 psi of boost when it normaly pushes 10 psi. Its really alot of fun when it is cold...
