Has anybody had any problems with a new Bullit leaking Transmision Fluid from the connection right from the Engine to the connecting rod. A dealership in Seattle where I live wants to replace the driveline. They have already replaced the seal they thought was the problem but it's still leaking. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bullit Owners.

I think that is the exact same thing I have. I am not that good with the terminology, but I looked at it with one of the mechanics at the dealership. it's the first connection from the engine to the drive line. it's a very slow leak. Hopefully the new seal will fix yours. Let me know how it goes.

This is quite interesting. My Bullitt is in for tranny work see "another transmission bites the dust". Some of the parts they are replacing along with the shifter fork, syncros, etc are seals and the output shaft.

Do we have a pattern here? Hmmmmmmm

May be we should have a poll as to how many Bullitt owners have had to have their tranny's rebuilt/replaced, etc. Then after the poll, send a thread to Ford. Might prove to be interesting.

Don't know if it is true but I was told that the rear seal leaks are common problems on 94-up Mustangs. Both of mine leak but only tiny amounts.

Same here. I would guess that I was only getting about a drop a week on the garage floor so I waited until I had a couple of other things to do before I took it into the shop.

Interestingly, I also had a loss of steering fluid but no visible leak. The dealer replaced the entire rack and pinion. I have also heard that steering fluid loss/leaks are fairly common.
