In my never ending search for go fast parts, this one is for the hard core. Meziere Cooling systems now has a all electric water pump for the 4.6 motor. Replaces the stock water pump, has an idler pulley tso you can retain the stock belt routing, flows 55 GPM and is good for street use with an expected life of 60,000 miles +.

This would eliminate all parasitic loss from the stock pump and provide uniform flow for better cooling I would think.You can check it out at www.meziere.com.

I was thinking about the same mod, but after talking to a guy about it he temporairly changed my mind. He told me that if i ever wanted to drag the car in tournaments conditions, that i would have to run in (i forgot his words) heavily modded class because that is what a electric water pump falls under.

the more i think about i dont plan to bracket race, i just want to go faster. I would have to see what the gains would be before i installed one on my car though. Do you have any actual numbers for a stang?

man brian, with you it truly IS a "never ending quest"!! sounds pretty nice though! what would the gains be in torque and HP?
