Anyone notice any unusual amount of fun when around or driving their Bullitt?

You must be babying it. :)

I was driving around last weekend and I thought "this is the coolest single item I've ever owned." Better than my 70' Mach I even. God rest her soul.
I did not realize how much I missed my bullitt while I was gone until I got in it and started it. What a ride home that was, and still enjoying it now like I did when it was new!!
No, I seem to be having the normal amount of fun that I always have when I'm driving it.

Maybe you should take it to your Dealer, see if there's a TSB for it...........
The Bullitt is a thrill to drive!! The first couple of month I drove it pretty hard but I've kind of slowed down a bit recently in an attempt to see what kind of milage I can get when I "take it easy". I seem to be getting around 15 mpg on all city driving and the best I've managed on all highway is 23.xx mpg. Even so, it beats the crxp out of the mileage on my Lightning (11 mpg).
Some days I feel like I don't get to drive mine enough. I drive 10-15 minutes 4 times a day during the week; I take the "long" way home just to get a little extra drive time. The drive to work is a fun way to start the day; the Bullitt is much more fun than my automatic 07 GT was.

Ken,

We are doing about the same thing going and coming from work each day.

I drive like 10 miles each way.

5-Days a week.

Usually do errands in the Bullitt on Saturday.

Like you I am not putting a lot of miles or seat time in the Bullitt.

And I do ask myself often, am I getting the real pleasure from my New Bullitt ???

I do each day but it is short lived.

Terry, I'm glad that I don't drive it too much. I don't want too many miles on it before it becomes a weekend driver eventually. I wore out my last two GM cars by commuting 120 miles daily, and I don't plan to do that to my Bullitt.

Ken,

That would be some very serious miles a day (120).

These days that wpould be Very Expensive !!!!!!!!

Plus as you said you would wear the car out.

Hopefully I can keep this Bullitt for a long time so I don't want a lot of miles on it.

I drove mine over 200 miles today and loved every minute. Have the Bullitt since mid-March and just past 1,500 miles on the trip today. Even tried the A/C for the first time today....it works.
There is nothing like merging onto an interstate and winding out 3rd gear.
You just gotta watch out for every guy that wants to race you in everything from soccer-mom vans to lexus' (lexii ?).
Im finding the Bullitt to be far more comfortable than I ever imagined or feared.
WOTTA RIDE !

Ya I had a 07 Mustang GT Auto and I have to agree with you. I think driving a Stang with a auto is like having a 2 wheel drive jeep
Am I having fun??? Well whenever I merge on an Interstate with my daughters in the back seat, I hear "OH NO, here we go again".
fun! that was the main criteria befor purchasing my bullitt. i looked at alot of different cars and off road vehichles. i decided i would be limited to the amount of fun to be had with an off road vehicle. i still hadn't decided on what car i would get until i saw a bullitt one day in a parking lot as it passed by me. (i think it was terry) i might have given my neck a mild case of whiplash from spinning around so quickly to look at that bullitt. i find myself coming up with excuses to go for a ride these days. i still have the same thrill every time i start her up as i did the first time. and the roads are getting shorter and the curves are getting straighter. fun, fun, fun.
