I almost(within at the most of six feet)got T-boned by an F-250 extended cab long bed today. I was in my lane doing about 40 and a semi was coming headon to me. Well that's when this guy just pulls right out of a neighborhood(he was turning left)a little fast to beat the semi and almost hit me. It gave me a head rush, it was close, damn it was close. He would've hit exactly where I was on my door from my left. It just made me think that you could have it all gone in just one second. There was nothing I could have done either, except sit back an watch. Whew! Just a little shaken up. Thank God it was a miss.

Thank god it was just a close call.

I know how fast it all happens, and you're left wondering why you still feel "like this" when you didn't even HAVE an accident.
Terrified, Relieved, and then the Anger.

A Mustang LX decided this morning that my lane looked better than his...and he wanted the same spot I was using.
UNBELIEVABLE. I had just watched him cut off someone while moving from the 3rd lane to the 2nd. I was in the 1st. I didn't realize at first that he wanted mine too! He actually just moved into it. Thank god for nice wide shoulders.
I did not flip him off, I gave him the LOSER sign. Wanted him to feel special!

Obviously he wasn't a rocket scientist. Two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time.

I had a bozo try to pass me ON THE LEFT as I was turning left into my own driveway the other evening. Yes, I even had my turn signal on. He was cutting through my subdivisi0on to try to beat raffic on the main street. I'm glad I have better brakes than his older Fox based Mustang. He ended up in my front yard. I'm glad none of my children were out playing because my 18 month old daughter usually approaches the driveway when I pull in.

That is just plain stupidity.
I can almost understand the idiots on the freeway...everbybody in a hurry...
but doing that sh*t in a residential area is TOTALLY unacceptable.
Not sure what you did to him, but I'm glad he'll remember you for a week or so.
Maybe he won't cut through your neighborhood anymore either.
Jeez.

Yeah, that's the part that really got me going. When he said the guy landed in his front yard, right where his little kid usually is, I actually got angry.
I've been a mom for a very long time (cuz I'm REALLY old now), so it's pretty ingrained...that protective thing.
I wasn't even thinking of the Bullitt this time!

A story like txbullitt's really gives you a sick feeling in your stomach when you think of what could have happened. I've seen my share of bent sheetmetal, some of it mine and caused by others and it makes you angry, but there is nothing more important than the people in our lives.

Yes it does make your stomach turn. I'd rather have smashed up sheetmetal than someone being hurt. Along the lines of what you said treva, when it comes to someone getting out unhurt, dont think about the car, you can get a new one or have it fixed.

If my girls had been there playing, I'd have probably sacrificed the Bullitt even though i would have meant taking the hit on the drivers side.

As for bozo remembering, let's just say that he probably had to change his shorts when he got home then shampoo his seat.
