Hi all!
I've been working on getting this t-shirt done for over a month now! Whew, finally!
OK, I just want HONEST opinions, that's all. I know we all have our own tastes and I'm in total respect of that. Some may say "oh, that's cool!", others may say "yeah, it's OK" and still there may be those who say "if it aint the true BULLITT typestyle, I don't like it!". To each his/her own, just wanted to know what you thought. Also, for those who may ONLY accept the true Bullitt typestyle.....uh, that was going to be about $35!! No way, not on this $15 t-shirt! Maybe a leather jacket or something........
Getting this done was a royal pain! I called a place here that does "stitching", custom, yet I didn't have a "good" feeling when I talked to the man. He acted as if he didn't care, he promised to call me with the computerized "rough sketch" so I could aprove it (he didn't), he promised to call me when the shirt was done (he didn't) and when I called him to ask if the t-shirt was done he said "well, yeah" as if to say "DUH!". I said "oh, I thought you had said you'd call when it was done". He said he did....NOT! He asked if we had a machine, I said "yes", he said "maybe I left a message then". I said "no, there was none". Anyway, I drive Bulletta 15 miles one way to get the t-shirt last night and when I get there, the guy is sitting, just chatting on the phone, LOOKING right at me, neither saying "I'll be right with you" OR getting off the phone. When he brings the t-shirt over, I IMMEDIATELY notice....the "#" sign is missing! JEEZ! I put my face in my hands and say "oh NO!!!! the pound sign is missing!". He looks at me and says "hey, it was on there, I swear". I'm like oh my GOD, this guy is a nutcase times two! What does he mean "it was on there???" it wasn't on there, plain as day, but it WAS on the form I filled out to EXACT measure how I wanted it done!
ANYHOW, I'm ranting, I know this and I'm sorry. It's just, I waited SO long for this shirt to come to me, then to find a stitcher, then to have a day I could take it in, etc., etc., and this guy screws it up! Hubby said it looks really neat just like it is AND anyone who KNOWS what a Bullitt is will know what the number means anyway.....the man said to me "oh, I'm having one hell of a day, just take the shirt, no charge" (he wanted $12.50 for it, about .10 cents worth of thread???). So, that was the ONLY good thing. Sorry about quality of photos, I'm tired!
Here it is! (with flash, without flash)
