I have always thought that Ford V8's had a better sound than the other makes. You can always tell a Ford, by the sound, even without looking.
Someone told me, years ago, that the reason Fords sound different is a longer stroke design as compared to GM or Chrysler. However, it all comes down to personal preference. I'm sure GM guys think Fords sound like *&%$.
