Well it was just a matter of time before I got the first major ding. Here's what happened and then the "cure". Pulled into a gas station I normally don't go to and without thinking opened the door only to have it abruptly come to a sharp stop with a nightmarish loud thud! Right next to the door handle along the crease was a divot the size of a child's thumbprint and two small area's of chipped paint surface. Great....now I gotta' go to the Nationals next week ....maimed! A buddy told me of a guy who does "Paintless Dent Repair". I drove over and seventy-five bucks later the dent was totally removed. He drilled a 1/2 inch hole (which he plugged) in the driver's side door jam and passed through this steel rod and slowly applied pressure outwardly to bend out the dent until it could no longer be seen. I ordered some touch-up paint from the Ford dealer PX (Ford # PMP-19500-6920A) used the end of a toothpick to dab it over the chips and voilla...not too bad. Not good as new but for a quick fix on this daily driver, I can live with it. Just passing on some info on cheap dent repair. Maybe if I get a few more I'll spring for a body shop repair job. (I have $250..00 deductable) Watch out at those gas station's. Peace "Wheelman"
