I got my lights from Stangparts.com. Granted it is a bit more expensive but I told the nice secretary last year I'd eventually buy something from them. They sent me the 96-98 foglight switch. Its my new N2O switch! lol.

Putting them on is a bitch!!!

Joe,

Pat Haney http://www.haneymotorsport.com has some 2002 take-offs for $45.00 a pair.

Great deal considering the dealer wants $18.00 for just one foglight bulb.

Just completed install of fogs on #2892. Switch from dealer was $20 and light housings w/bulbs were $50/pr from KarKraft in Livonia,Mi. About one hour to install -- top screws on lamps were toughest part due to working by feel. Once lamps are mounted just plug in wiring! Switch was easy -- unscrew shift knob and pop off shift boot/bezel unit (lift carefully on both sides at once). Then using 2 fingers push dummy switch from back to pop out of dash. Wire plug is attached to rear of dummy so detach and plug into new switch and push switch into dash until it snaps in. The lights worked great first time! Hope this can help those who are thinking of installing fogs. By the way, the switch part # is -- 1R3Z-15A214-AA (fog).

I'm installing my fog lights tomorrow. I used spray tint to darken the lenses to match the head lamps - looks good! I bought my fog lights off of eBay but they didn't come with any screws. Did you have to punch a hole in the under side of the bumper where the bottom screw goes through, or did you just slip the clip over the edge of the bumper? Also, did you use a nut and a screw on the top holes? Thanks.

Karl,

OK, I see what you mean about the bottom holes, but what about the top ones? Did you use a screw and a nut or did you get some more of those clip-on nuts like the ones on the bottom of the housing? I tried using nuts but getting at the back of those taps in the bumper is a real b!tch, especially when you don't have the car raised up! Did you raise the front end of the car to do this?

Patience is right! I went and got some speed nuts (those clips that you used, Karl) and those helped, but GEEZ, getting those top screws in was a real pain! Anyway, I finally got them in and the lights look great! At least they look great turned off so far. My dealer didn't have the switch so they're getting one shipped from Toronto. Should be here on Tuesday. I can't wait to see what they look like on!

Got my switch from the dealer last night and popped it in. I really like how the fog lights look with just the parking lights on! They look pretty good with the headlights on, too.

I made out pretty well with this little mod. All told I spent $140 Canadian for a set of almost-new foglights, the switch, the mounting screws and the tint. Not bad!

Re: foglights installation. No need to remove shift trim ring or shift knob. From passenger side reach up alongside transmission tunnel behind center of dash and reflect back the carpeting. You can easily pop out the blank switch and plug in the new foglight switch. Lights themselves were a problem!! My neighbor and I installed them using 3M Scotch 2-sided tape over screw holes, placed the screws through the tape and holes, then used a magnetic screwdriver to finish. Got my kit from velocitymustang.com for $112.00. Relay comes with the kit but not necessary as it is already installed on the car.
