I was gassing up our company truck, an 06 F150 and I noticed inside the fuel door says "Ford recommends BP." What's up with that? When you go to a BP dealer do they have signs that say "BP recommends Ford vehicles?"

I was wondering the same thing, David. My 2007 CVPI has the same gig going on. If you don't use BP fuel, will it void the warranty? Will it explode?

And isn't British Petroleum mainly Venezuelan oil? From what I understand, we import quite a bit from the country that we seem to despise (at least politically.)

While we're talking "gas" what's the deal with 3.00 a gallon at this time of year? If it keeps up, and gets to 4.00 by summer, I may, er I mean will have to cancel my plans to attend the Nats. It would cost me 500.00 in gas alone!

Collin, Firefox is on AMC right now!

I think BP might have gave them a lil sumpin' sumpin' to put that there.

$4.00 by next summer? Hmmm, I'm think maybe a bit sooner. I think they are holding back the floodgates right now.

I don't think we have BP's anywhere in Texas. I had one of their gas cards several years ago, and they finally cancelled it from lack of use.

I wouldn't use BP anyway! They just got caught ripping off thousands of customers on Propane as they were trying to corner the market and inflate prices!

I don't use Shell because they are not "Gun Friendly" and support "anti-gun" candidates.

I use Chevron exclusively, but I am sure they have secrets as well.........

Thanks for the info. on Shell. Their controlling stock is (or used to be) owned by the royal family of the Netherlands. The Dutch are big-time pacifists (but I somehow have more respect for them than the French).

I try to avoid companies that get on the Brady/Feinstein/U.N. bleeding-heart bandwagon. I don't think we need foreign (or foreign-minded) people trying to erode our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

After what I read from the NRA and the TSRA I will NEVER buy anything from Dell neither.

If you can supply other companies to boycott please let us know. THANKS ~ !!!

I have no idea where the crude for the QT brand of discounted gasoline is from, but they have gas that gets our Escort over 30 mpg in city driving. Higher on the highway. And it's discounted, current price is $2.85/ gal of unleaded.

The truck and the Bullitt, well they aren't over 30 mpg yet...

I was in Sydney Australia last week.
Lowest price I saw for gas was $1.29 (AUD)per litre.
Times this by 3.85 ltrs to the US gallon = AUD$4.97 per gallon, or US$4.66.
Prices are higher in country areas and expected to rise even further.
