Buyers beware.
I got in somewhat early on the first group buy on the Tri-ax shifter. I never got mine. I called them multiple times and they told me two different times it had "already shipped and should be there any day." Interesting was they gave me completely different dates each time as to when it had shipped. I emailed them today and they said they were waiting for me to call and tell them when I wanted it shipped. "WHAT?!?!? I wanted it the day I ordered it!!!!, Besides you had my phone number, why not call me?"
I also had ordered an aluminum drive shaft from them which they also goofed up. They were supposed to ship that seperately since they had a shipment coming in on Octber 10 and I had to wait until 20 group buy orders came in before the shifter would go out. So I just told them to cancel everything. It has been over 3 weeks already. I don't want these items as Xmas presents. It was their screwup. They didn't seem to care or even try to make it up to me. Never again.

Anybody have any recommondations for a different vendor that has the aluminum drive shaft and an aftermarket shifter in stock and might actually ship them and cares about their customers?

I can't recommend another place but I had the same problem with FordSpeed. I was told my Tri-Ax was going to be shipped out last week and it never was. I just got off the phone with them, for the third time, and they said they were going to ship it today. Yeah right. We'll see! I can't say I'm thrilled about their service right now.

Ok, so it just isn't me. I wonder how many others they are screwing with.
They told me they would ship it today too. I told them they told me that twice before and I didn't trust them to do it this time and cancelled my order. I rather pay retail then give them my money. That kind of stuff doesn't sit well with me.

Got on the "New List" for Tir Ax deal was told there was 7 people on the list, then. I called this morning almost a week later, now I'm told I'm the only one. Canceled the deal with them....very disapointed

wow, i'm surprised. i had nothing but praise for them.
just goes to show that every company can screw up.
if you're more comfortable with someone else,....try some of these guys;
try Dugan Racing @ http://www.dugan-racing.com
try steeda direct on the shifters. http://www.steeda.com
you can try Dallas Mustang @ http://www.dallasmustang.com
you can try Excessive Motorsports, they can have very good prices @ http://www.ExcessiveMotorsports.com
also try CJ Pony Parts @ http://www.eMustang.com
another good source is Brothers Performance @ http://www.brothersperformance.com

these are all good, competitive sources that carry many kinds of mods and upgrades as far as MY experience goes!!!

I shot off an email to a person at Fordspeed explaining the issue, showing the link here, and asking that they get to the bottom of this, and maybe explain what happened.

Hopefully they can address the issue.

I apologise for any confusion on the reopen of the Steeda shifter group buy. I did not inform the sales staff which has caused some misleading information. I apologise again for any problems. The group buy is open until November 24th.

Sincerely,
Eric

Eric,

And idea on when these folks will receive their orders? Can we expedite the sales?

Obviously some of the people who ordered early-on have had problems. Is there someone they can talk to that can satisfy these orders?

I would like to see these folks  rather than , and they seem to be getting the run-around a bit.

Dallas Mustang in my experience is very slow in processing and shipping. They also haven't returned a call and email I have out to them regarding a chip.

Brothers doesn't carry any shifters for the Tremec 3650 yet.

I will check out some of the others.

Thanks for the heads up, I was just about to order a shifter and driveshaft from them...I think I will pay a few extra bucks to get them here before 2002.

Damn, I wish I had it to do all over again. I will keep them in mind if I can't find another shifter somewhere locally.

I ordered mine in the first group purchase. Received it the week after it was "supposed" to ship. I have no complaints and am a satisfied customer.

I am finding that no one seems to know much about our cars at all. I will keep them in mind too.

I have made three separate purchases from Fordspeed.com over the last 3 months. Dealt with Joe. Each experience was excellent. In all cases I got the product either the next day or within 2 days. I highly recommend them.

What's there to know? Mechanically they are VERY similar to the GTs.
