It's official, American Muscle has officially discontinued the fr500s mufflers.

Too bad- best sounding muffler out there for the S197 gen. Loved mine on my former GT500. Nothing sounded better.

they should still be available thru other venders. they are made by ford. and american muscle doesn't have the best price.

I prefer the Dyno Max Ultra flow welded stainless axle backs. Part# 17572 and 17571 More mellow than stock, no drone.

When I bought my Bullitt last November. I discovered this website IMBOC and decided I wanted the fr500s mufflers. They were nowhere to be found on any website, all backordered. I contacted Ford performance directly through email and this was their response. It's not an American muscle or any other website reseller being better or worse than others. Ford stopped making them.

Well , China stopped making them for Ford .
I still have my poor old beat up set and love them.

If you guys want the KR muffler sound, I suggest Adding 2 Magnapack resornator mufflers 10416 on down pipe with Muffler delete. This 4" body will clear even 4" aluminum driveshaft and sounds really good. Not too loud, just right.
