I just saw a guy on tv this morning that said the regular use of Fuel Injector cleaner will ruin the coils wrapped around the fuel injector.

He says it will cost you big time if you use it with every oil change.

Anybody have any further info?

From what I've learned from my days as a gas tanker driver if you stay with the majors, Chevron, Shell, Texaco, Unocal, Sunoco, Exxon and Standard, they additive they put in at the plant will more than suffice to keep your injectors clean.

Watch out for the mom and pop and Quickee-Mart gas stations because they usually buy their gas from brokers who sell crap.

I hate to admit it, but I once took a load of 75 octane naptha to a USA station in El Centro, Ca. and was told to drop in their regular unleaded tank.

I will agree with that Nasty. Coming through Oklahoma I stopped at a no name station. Got about 50 miles away, in the middle of no where, and the truck died. Checked everything out and finally resolved it to be a clogged fuel line. Had to stop every 40 miles or so and backflush the fuel line from the carb.
