The Consumer Reports car issue just came out and there is good news for Ford.

The Fusion/Milan gets the "Most Impressive" rating for a new car line. The handling and comfortable ride were "impressive".

AND first-year reliability was rated as EXCELLENT!! WAY TO GO FORD!

This should help to sell lots of Fusions.

The Mustang V8 received a "Most Satisfying" rating from the owner satisfaction survey and rated very close to the Corvett, the highest rated car. This is according to owners and how much they liked the car.

Then there is the reliability also reported by owners. Corvettes continue to get a black spot for reliability.

05 and 06 Mustangs have fallen a great deal in their reliability rating according to owner-reported problems.

I get the Consumers Report Mag also. Did you notice that the overall rating of Toyota has slipped from darn near bullitt-proof to some thing just about on par or slightly above Ford. And if you look at the individual model ratings they are suffering as well. Just like anything else designed and built in America. The new Tundra is something less than the Chevy if you read Motor Trends' latest issue. So, maybe there is a light at the end of the long tunnel. American Mfgrs. better really get on the stick now. This maybe their last chance, the Asians don't sit still for poor quality in what they build. They will loose face. Eh what?

I've been saying all along that the Milan is an incredable value - looks, room, many features and sporty driving with the V6.

Neighbor has a black one with aftermarket wheels and it looks dynamite.

Kays 06 Milan is great car, excellent looks unbelivable room in the interior and the trunk, with the 3.0 quad valve V6 and the 6 speed auto realy hauls ass, has out run my stock 93 GT mustang and my CVPI and gets 25mpg in city and highway combined, I have gotten 30mpg on the highway trips if you keep the speed below 70

We got a 2006 Fusion. The sales Manager said it is based on the Mazda 6 frame. It has the 4 cyl and a stick for the best mileage. Has more power than I thought it would and rides very well. Gets about 30mpg. Feels like a big car to me.

Neighbor just bought a 07 Milan, loaded. Varry Nice! Some sort of khaki color, lots of chrome...

Mary Elaine wants the Fusion when the Escort Sport tanks. That should be about ten-fifteen years from now!

Maybe we'll get a Fusion before that though!

Ford is definatly trying to turn it around. As far as I see it, american cars are getting more and more reliable. Thier problem is that they have been known for so long to be crappy. But I think ford is turning a new stone here. I also think toyota is spending alittle too much $$ on trying to become #1, while they should really being puting money into thier cars. They seem to be starting to slip alittle quality wise.
