I'm shocked. They MUST be hurting bad. Like I said in another post, those Bullitts have been there since I bought mine in May 2008.

I think I'm going to barf. Thats almost $10K below sticker. They should have sold them for a fair price last January instead of adding $10K mark up. So much for thinking I stole one at $27,500.

Now that Dan Gurney Saleen would be sweet......

I paid too much for my used 01 and resented my own bad judgement for a while but...now I just enjoy my Bullitt. You could have bought a $80,000.00 motorhome last year that is now worth $45,000.00 whodathunkit?

Never thought I'd say it but Im sure glad my ex caused me to lose the Bullitt I ordered in Dec 07 and paid sticker for. I came back last month and nailed mine for 22,250 which Im sure the dealer thought they were getting one over on me since it was lightly used. But as it was a Pre Production model I was content and let them think they got one over on me when I'm pretty sure I have the cheapest PP car bought to date.
What amazes me most is dealers who have regular production Bullitts which were used and either repod or traded in after 6 months and many of them are still fishing for 26-28K! But I'm sure if you look hard enough you can still find a dealer trying to get an ADM on their Bullitt.
$23,500 is sweet for a brand new one! I'd be buying one now had the PP car not shown up 15 miles away.

Im sure glad I dont have the first one still though. I'd still probably owe $29K on it with the juice running. Never thought my ex would have done me a favor by being vengeful and causing me to lose it. Funny how those things work out. My sympathies to those who got one early and are now feeling the pinch. But at least you weren't one of the first to get a new Challenger for $65K. Those first Challenger owners are going to be kicking themselves bad in about 8 months when they eventually come in way way under.

Clancy:I saw your other post and was going to post this stuff there, but it wouldn't be fair to the original poster.....You are correct, they (the dealers) seemed to wake up and realize they have 2008 models just sitting around...

I'm glad I walked away from paying $40K Cdn for a Bullitt last March when the dealer wouldn't give me x-plan. I ended up buying one in December from a different dealer for $29K. On the negative side though, I bought a Ranger for $25K (including taxes and using x-plan) from the first dealer, which I traded on the December Bullitt and got less than $15 for it! Still bugs me. $10K out the window in 8 months. There was only a bit over 2000 miles on the truck. Not that anyone forced me to do the trade, but the Bullitt was a good price...and I wanted it :)

In hindsight I should have passed on the first $40K Bullitt and the Ranger. But you know what they say about hindsight...

I'm enjoying the car but miss the practicality of the truck (and the S10 Blazer I sold after I bought the Ranger).

You don't want to do that. Drive it back. Not enough days off? Bang in sick, you work for the government!

Does anyone know anything about this dealership (Sunrise Ford)????? I know the bad economy hasn't quite caught up to the central part of the country...........our Ford dealers are still asking premiums for Bullitts, Shelbys, Roushs, etc...............If anyone has any info about this dealership or has a contact there, please let me know.

No sympathy needed. Like all new car purchases, we knew we'd lose a ton in an instant just signing the papers and driving off the lot. Nothing new.

On this particular car, I would not trade the experience of custom ordering #901 - just as I wanted it and just for me, and then waiting for it to be built, shipped and delivered. Even if I should lose it down the road, nobody can ever take the experience & 1st year driving experience away!

On a side note, I tried dealing with Galpin long distance - and they wanted 5K ADM. I think them having to eat a bunch of cars is karmacally balanced!

Probably about $1000. It depends if you have it delivered open or closed, top of trailer or not and to your door or not.
