Now here is something a lot of people don't know about Vegas, they love their chickens! Why the last time I was there I got into a cab and the driver was so proud about all their chickens that he rambled on and on about all the ranches outside of Vegas. He even produced several menu's for me to read through on my short cab ride. He promised he would even drive me out to one of the chicken ranches if I wanted and would wait for me till I was done to drive me back! What a nice guy!
As I looked through the menu's, I could not believe my eyes!!! The prices to eat at these places was unbelievable! I bet IF you win big at the casinos, then you go to one of these ranches to eat. Must be a Vegas tradition or something. Well needless to say I can't comment on the eats at any of these places because I didn't win enough money to even try an appetizer, I can't imagine how much it would cost for a breast and leg meal!
If I ever go back to Vegas and win enough money, I'll try some of these and report back on the quality of meat these ranches produce.
We went to the south rim which was a 4-4 1/2 hour drive. The west rim is only about 2-2 1/2 hours from Vegas and it has the glass horseshoe.chilli bullitt said:How far is it to the Grand Canyon? I wouldn't mind making that trip if isn't too long. Anything interesting out at Shelby?
We tried to get tickets for the Cirque de Soleil but they were all sold out for every night we were there.kfengler said:Glad you had a great time!
It's strange being able to walk down the strip with drink in hand, and not in a small plastic cup but a foot & half tall drink!
Did you see any good shows? We saw "SPLASH" when we were there and it was very entertaining...
