Wish I knew you were going out Paul. We are planning on going out there in about a month. Have you made out to SAI yet? I figure I will be able to kill the better part of a day there alone. :D

What cars are on the Dollar slots?
There was a Mustang and a Harley bike when I stopped off there on the way back from
the 5th Nats in Frisco.

Boy was it hot as well.......
If ya get chance do the helicopter trip over the Hoover dam and Grand Canyon
then out to the west Canyon ranch for lunch and watch the sun go down......

A little known fact about Vegas

Vegas is such a nice place.

Now here is something a lot of people don't know about Vegas, they love their chickens! Why the last time I was there I got into a cab and the driver was so proud about all their chickens that he rambled on and on about all the ranches outside of Vegas. He even produced several menu's for me to read through on my short cab ride. He promised he would even drive me out to one of the chicken ranches if I wanted and would wait for me till I was done to drive me back! What a nice guy!
As I looked through the menu's, I could not believe my eyes!!! The prices to eat at these places was unbelievable! I bet IF you win big at the casinos, then you go to one of these ranches to eat. Must be a Vegas tradition or something. Well needless to say I can't comment on the eats at any of these places because I didn't win enough money to even try an appetizer, I can't imagine how much it would cost for a breast and leg meal!
If I ever go back to Vegas and win enough money, I'll try some of these and report back on the quality of meat these ranches produce.

Well, I'm back. Made it to SAI and harley dealer spent some decent time there....money too. Didn't do too much gambling....not really into it. Probably left about 100 bucks there in total. The car over the dollar slots was a SRT10 Viper. We tried to get in a show but just plain ran out of time. Did get to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam though.

I did ask Lisa if I could go to one of those Chicken places but she wouldn't let me go. Not sure why though...

How far is it to the Grand Canyon? I wouldn't mind making that trip if isn't too long. Anything interesting out at Shelby?
We went to the south rim which was a 4-4 1/2 hour drive. The west rim is only about 2-2 1/2 hours from Vegas and it has the glass horseshoe.

Glad you had a great time!

It's strange being able to walk down the strip with drink in hand, and not in a small plastic cup but a foot & half tall drink!

Did you see any good shows? We saw "SPLASH" when we were there and it was very entertaining... :D :D :D
We tried to get tickets for the Cirque de Soleil but they were all sold out for every night we were there.
