I would also like to get some ground effects, but I was going to wait and probably have the H&R suspension installed to have it lowered to proper height, then have a ground effects package installed to get that low to the ground look. I had a '88 mustang (before it was stolen) that was slammed to about 2" off of ground, and it was beautiful. The only problem was scraping the underside. Thats why I would like to get a kit this time and just have the bullit lowered slightly with H&R. Not sure who I will buy my ground kit from though. I haven't found one I am partial to yet.

Let me see if I've got this right.......
Some guys who don't have Bullitts are spending big $$$ trying to make their cars look like a Bullitt and some Bullitt owners are spending big $$$ trying to make their Bullitt NOT look like a Bullitt. Huh????

Ground effects on a Bullitt are like James Dean wearing parachute pants.
If you want ground effects, just sell the Bullitt and buy a regular Mustang to rape and pillage. Anything you do to alter the looks of the Bullitt will just make it look like all the other stangs. It is a classic just like it is.
just my .02 so take it for what its worth. everyone here bought their car for whatever reason they had. And each of us has a different idea on how to make our cars run faster and better...ie: gears, chips, s/c,....ect so what would make groundeffects any different than any other mod? nothing. bottom line is that whatever you do takes "AWAY" from the Bullitt concept. So why get on anyone who does not comform to the ideology behind the bullitt image? its your car, you paid the money for it....do what makes you happy. if everything was left the way it came in this world then it would be a very boring place... just my .02 and not tryin to start a ruckus.....
Granted, you have the right to do as you please, but you did ask for our opinion. By adding a ground effects kit to the car your wasting money. You could have bought a GT and added the body kit, SFC, the suspension, intake and exhaust for less money than you will be spending.
The body kit for me will take away at the subtlte look the Bullitt has. But to each his own. I hope you do find something and show us what it looks like.
Black Sunshine, he DID post it and we shared some opinions(just as you did) we're all pretty cool about voicing our opinions without flaming each other
of course any Bullitt owner can do anything he wants,....it's his(or her) Bullitt. you make a valid point too!
i don't think the flames were out, just opinions!

A ground effects kit I would like to get would be a subtle one. I do like the way the lines are on the BULLITT, but would like to have it look lower to the ground, without really changing the lines. That is maybe why I can't seem to find a kit that I like, everything I seen would change the look to drasticly. Well, if I do get a kit, I would put a picture on this forum for viewing. Thanks for the honest input, That is what I'm looking for.
I had considered putting side exhaust on the car. CDC has a real nice kit. But after looking closer at the package there's more to it than just the side pipes and covers. There's a piece that goes over the now-not-used exhaust holes in the rear bumper. And to balance that piece off, there's a new chin spoiler. After all that stuff is added, I thought the Bullitt would loose it's character. Too busy. Too bad. I love those pipes. http://www.classic-designconcepts.com/
