over on BON there is a guy that has bbk's set up on a group buy for 425$ i think.

he is a nice guy i have talked to him i am getting a set of long tubes from the GP.

Do you know if they are the coated ones or the regular ones. If they are coated then that is a great deal.

why don't you guys save like $150 and buy the Mac longtubes? Install is gonna be a pain anyway so why not save $150. Quality isn't as good but who cares? the headers aren't going to be visible anyway..

I know that I could probably do a search but I am lazy. So someone tell me what the difference is between short and long tubes?

Torque. Lots of ground-pounding, stump-pulling torque. :grin: Long tubes vaccuum down the cylinders better than short tubes and have the same effect on torque as long intake runners.

There are drawbacks though. Some loss in ground clearance (not much, but up to an 1" or so) and they are a B*TCH to install. But, the short tubes are a pain in the @$$ anyway, so you might as well spring for the long tubes. :smile:
