It was a rather cold saturday morning, and I happen to be taking my cat to the vet. The vet's office is in bfe, nice, long four lane road to drive. I am at the light to cross one of the major intersections. I take off and out of nowhere, this guy in an r/t jumps from the merge lane. He had a slick black truck. He jumped one of the slower cars. As I was next to him at the next light, I saw him glancing over and creeping forward. I kind of smiled. I got a great launch on him and he was 2-3 lengths back by the time I went to third. I had to shut it down or I would have missed my turn. I think my cat enjoyed the race though! He gave me a honk of the horn as he drove by.

There is an R/T around in South Austin and I saw him street race another Mustang. I was a couple of cars back of them. Appeared to be a 99 or 00 Mustang GT with a nice sounding exhaust, but he got a major A$$ whipping from the Dodge. No way to catch up to the R/T as I was trapped until the race was long over. Never drove a Dakota R/T, but understand they are pretty strong, especially since they have 360 cubes, 250HP and 345 LbsFt of torque.

Yeah, but the best I've seen them run is a 14.9 on a cold day at Cecil County (and that track is supposedly sloped downhill    ). But if he had a cam and a S/C, I'll bet he'd be in the 13's real quick... Doesn't sound like the R/T was stock (or maybe the GT driver just plain s*cked)
