I didn't get one!

I would like to know how it works though! I need to do my wife's 98 Escort beater and my 94 F-150. Neither one has ever been done and they are starting to look a little tired in the paint department. Maybe I can muster the energy to clean them up.

I would like to know how the products work as well.

Liquid clay bar? Sounds like a type of rubbing compound.

I talked to a car detailer yesterday about Ice. He said it never really drys and take a lot of effort to get off. The plus side is if you get it on plastic it does not turn white. He swears by NXT.

I wax my 07 at least 4-5 times a month and my week old Bullitt has 4 coats, I have tried them all Ice works great and ONLY comes off with the Micro towel...If you see streeks use the terry towel you dried it off from the wash, My wife just finished the 07 right now and its a 10! I hit the Bullitt after coming in from the smog shop and in 100 deg sun it works great in straight sun!!! The ONLY issue with Ice or any of the sythentic stuff is it only lasts a week or two...But they sell a quick detailer for that. From a former Zymol only guy with black cars.....I am a total car wax nut I'm sure for most one time a month in warm weather is enough it does seem to last longer in winter minus rain

Mike Fry has tried it and is impressed (which is saying a lot), but you MUST use microfiber towels to get it off.

I was thinking about it but then I'd have to add it to the other 10 bottles sitting in the garage. I'm kind of hung up on the NXT was these days but would be interested to hear from someone that has tried the "Ice"
Paul,

What was the quick detailer in the can you showed me at Nats (and no, it wasn't pouring beer on the car)?. It was when you were putting on your slicks.

I like the ICE. I am torn between NXT and Ice. True, it only comes off with microfiber towels. It doesn't even buff off! I also have a bottle of the liquid clay bar, but haven't had time to use it. I do like it not getting all pasty and white when you get it on the plastic. My dad really likes it on his bike. I got some microfiber bonnets for my polisher and am waiting for a day off and no rain to try it out...

I gave the ICE Quick Detailer a try and was not impressed. It still sprays on like a wax and needs two microfiber rags: one to wipe it in after spraying (it almost gets the job done) and a 2nd rag to polish it shiny. I will use the bottle I have and go back to Meguiars NXT products.

I don't understand waxing wax, and Markus do the trim first and maybe the wax will not be a problem on the trim.

I've got some friends that have tried the ICE stuff, but none have been very impressed. I'm hung up on Meguiars products including NXT. My B currently sports a clay job, coat of DC#1 (paint cleaner), coat of #7 (show car glaze), coat of NXT (wax), coat of #26 (pure yellow carnuba wax), and topped off with the new (and f'n awesome!) Ultimate Quick Detailer. NXT seems to really bring out the depth of darker paints and the #26 really darkens it up nicely. If you can get a hold of the UQD in your area, I strongly recommend it. It is by far the best product I have ever seen available in a spray form.
